£2,168.80 raised for the 2006 Children in Need Appeal
£922.70 raised for the RNLI with a senior school mufti day and collection boxes
£44.00 raised for Sue Ryder by staff who displayed communal Christmas greetings instead of sending cards
£1958.50 raised for Red Nose Day – Comic Relief. This was a whole school effort with money being raised from the sale of red noses, year groups organising a sponsored silence, sponsored book reading, Youth Action collections, teacher gunging, computer games in ICT, Jazz and Rock concert collections, various cake sales and individual donations
£242.25 raised for the Meningitis Trust with a cake sale and a donation from the Choral Concert. The Art department sold home baked cakes and handmade ceramic cakes in the staffroom for the last week of the Spring term
£1275.59 raised for the local children's charity Keech Cottage. Pauline Mitchelmore, community fundraiser, visited our year 7 and 8 students and gave a moving account of the work this charity does. The school held a mufti day and a few fairies were present in school. There were also choral concert donations contributing to this amount
£405 also raised for keech Cottage by Anne-Marie Stijelja, Art Department technician, who made a parachute jump on the 20th May. The sponsorship was donated via the online charity website www.justgiving.com An assembly concluded the fundraising and students from years 7-9 were shown the footage of the jump
